How to display the file name and path of a database on the database icon?
Last Modified: Sun, Dec 27 1998
Description
You want to know if you could display the full path and file name of a database over its icon.
Details
Step 1: Right click on the workspace tab(mouse pointer should not be on any database icon).
Step 2: Click on Show Server Names in the pop-up menu.
Step 3: Now hold down the Shift key, repeat Step1.
Your database icons now would have the whole path and file name displayed with the prefix Local if the database is local or the name of the server on which the database is stored.
Remarks
This tip is especially useful if you are working with a lot of replicas of the same database and you are confused as to which one of them corresponds to what.
This tip works only once per Notes Session. So you got to do this each time you start Notes.
