Langsam aber sicher zweifele ich an meiner geistigen Gesundheit.

Habe wg. der Probleme einen Call bei IBM aufgemacht.

Unter anderen soll ich bei/nach einem Crash folgendes testen

The Community server could be failing to resolve to the Console server on the expected port.
By default the console listens on 9080 and 9443 for these requests.

3.2) Confirm this port is listening on the Console server by running Netstat -anb and reviewing the port is listening.

3.3) Confirm you can telnet to this port from the Community server.  If this fails, confirm you can telnet to this port from the Console server to rule out firewalls preventing this port from answering.

Also bin ich auf die Console des Console Servers gegangen und habe getan, was man mir geschrieben hat.
Wir reden im Moment von einem funktionsfähigen Server. Also User sind verbunden und chatten fleissig.

Resultat: Ich sehe nirgendwo in der Liste die beiden Ports.

Dann müsste der Server doch auch jetzt ein Problem haben, oder?

Kann bitte mal jemand den netstat output seines console servers posten, bitte? Sind dort die Ports gelistet?

grandios übrigens, dass ich per Twitter von einem Sametime Supporter in Dublin den Hinweis bekommen habe, dass die Stabilitätsprobleme wohl bekannt sind und ich trotzdem erst einmal die komplette Schleife durch den Support drehen darf ... Ein super Abschluss eines beschissenen Tages.

Also 9080 kann ich nicht sehen.

Support vermutet Probleme bei der LDAP Anbindung.
Ausserdem ist ihnen aufgefallen, dass in meiner Sametim.ini ein Eintrag zu STLinks= fehlte.

Kann mir aber ehlich gesagt nicht vorstellen, dass letzterer dafür sorgt, das unvermittelt alle Services durchstarten und dann keine Anmeldung mehr möglich ist.

Thanks for providing the debug logs we requested last week. Our initial findings are as follows;

1) stlinks.txt exceptions;

STLinks SA Logged out, Reason: 0x80000019

and from Sametime_20100725.log;

1.1) Please try the workaround from;

We found from your sametime.ini, that there was no existing STLINKS_HOST entry.

Und zum LDAP:

2) For question; "Is it possible that the LDAP task was not possible to handle the requests because it was overloaded?"

This could have been possible, we're aware VP_LDAP_TRACE=1 was enabled on the ST Server, this should have resulted in generation of  STUser debug
in the trace folder of the Sametime Server, that should indicate any exceptions/errors that could confirm if LDAP was overloaded.

Please provide any STUser files for us to check.

Note: To improve load and response times, the following parameters can be added to the Sametime.ini under the [Directory] section.  The values in the example below are the default values as assigned by the server

You could start with increasing ST_DB_LDAP_CONNECTIONS_NUMBER to a maximum of 5, to see if that improves LDAP response times ?
