@Thomas und Axel
Problem
Document are not displaying even though the status bar says x number of documents found when performing a search in a database that does not have a Full Text Index. The problem occurs only when greater than 500 documents are returned in the search.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Access a non-indexed database through a view listed by category.
2. Collapse all categories in that view.
3. Search with a term that you know exists in the documents; you will get a list of the categories containing relevant results. Take note of one of the categories listed.
4. Clear results to get all categories again.
5. Expand the category you chose in step 3 (which contains results that will match the search) prior to the search.
6. Search with the term again. The results list will be blank, but the correct number of documents will be indicated.
This is a display problem that occurs only when searching on non-indexed databases because the results list is intended to present categories containing results. Having a relevant category expanded prior to the search causes the display problem.
If a category containing no matching results is expanded prior to the search, it does not interfere with the results list.
This does not occur with a FTI database as documents are always displayed on the results list (never a list of categories).
Solution
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# TYAA6E8AN3 and was fixed in Notes/Domino 7.0.2 and 6.5.6..
