When is a CAL Required?
The Domino CAL is required for all authenticated usage on Domino servers.
"Authentication" is defined as:
1) Secure validation of a user's unique identity;
2) By a Domino Server or another 3rd party source;
3) Before participating in messaging and collaborative services hosted on a Domino Server
