Hab mir zwar mal Präsentationen gezogen, bin aber noch nicht weiter gekommen, schliesslich bin ich auch erst etwa 28 Std. zurück :-)


Zu den Shared Actions:
So sehr ich mich damals über diese Dinger gefreut habe, so sehr wurde auch mir die Freude durch solche Unregelmässigkeiten wie die UnprocDocs und so Sachen, wie Andreas sie hier aufzählt, vergällt und ich hab sie nun wirklich nur noch für ganz simple Sachen eingesetzt. Die haben das in R5 einfach unreif drin gehabt. Bin bisher noch nicht so weit gekommen, in ND6 wieder auszuprobieren, aber ich gehe mal davon aus, dass da viele, viele der Probleme gefixt sind.

Nun wenn ich mir so die Lotus Software KnowledgeBase bzgl. Shared Actions Bugs unter R6 durchlese, beschleicht mich ebenfalls das Gefühl, auf diese Dinger zu verzichten.

If you create an "Action with a Sub Action" on a subform, the top-level Label does not display, as it should.  Instead, the Name of the top-level Action displays.
=> This issue has been reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering.  The only workaround at this time is to either place the Actions directly within the Form design or to not use leveled Actions.


A document created with a top level Action which has a Shared Action as its first sub action will display the Shared Action's label if the labels for both actions are based on a formula.  If you look back in Domino Designer at the top level Action label formula, you see it has been overwritten with the Shared Action label formula.

You also note that the top level action's Display and Icon properties are grayed out, as if it were a Shared Action (whose properties are only accessible via the original design element within the Shared Code --> Actions area).

Note:  At times it has been observed that if the top level Action's formula was not based on a formula then the following error occurs when composing the document:

"Invalid formula structure"
=>This issue has been reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering.

Workaround:
To prevent this issue in the future, create between the top level Action and the Shared Action create an action which will be used as a dummy to buffer.  It need not contain a Name.  Give it a Hide When formula of 1=1.  This prevents the Shared Action characteristics from inheriting into the top level Action.

Oh Mann, wenn ich dieses "Create Dummy" lese... Das ist ja ein richtiger Würgaround (-> AT Fachsprache, oder?)

Jens, das ist einen weiteren Eintrag im WöBu wert (neben dem vorhandenen), und der sollte auf "Finger weg" lauten mit dem Nachsatz "Es gibt kaum etwas, was die Jungs / Mädels von Iris nicht können. Auf shared actions trifft dies leider bisher nicht zu."
