SOS
« am: 26.02.03 - 12:34:43 »
Hi Folks,

Need some urgent help for the following scenario.
1> We have an existing Lotus Notes mail server (Say A). The emails reach us as <name>@ServerA.Com

2> We have recently merged with another entity which currently uses HP Openmail mailing server. (say B)

Earlier the mails used to come to their server (Say B) as
<name>@ServerB.com.

Those folks have already changed their domain name to ServerA.Com

Hence now if they send mails out of their server, it will go as <name>@ServerA.com.

The issue is if someone replies to xyz@ServerA.com and assuming that this mail box exists on the HPopenmail server, how do my Lotus Notes server forward the mail there instead of sending a mailer daemon to the user.

Any help at the earlier is highly appreciable..kind of SOS for me...

Many Thanks and regards,

Mihir

Hi Mihir,

use the "smart host" setting in the configuration document under Router/SMTP. ServerB is your smart host, so that all mails which the domino server can't deliver is redirected to ServerB instead of sending mailer daemons... :D
