Infos zu Fehlermeldungen im Replikator

guten abend,

seit ich den domino desinger installiert hab, kann ich unter notes keine emails mehr verschicken. (smtp meldet einen permanenten fehler).

aber ich weiß nicht warum, diese besch**** meldung schon wieder kommt. ich hatte das am freitag voriger woche auch schon. dann hab ich notes neu installiert, alle updates bin 5.0.9 installiert und dann erst wieder alle mail konten neu eingerichtet. dann gings wieder.
vorhin hab ich zum testen nochmal den domino designer installiert, und nun gehts plötzlich nicht mehr.
ists ein bug?



da ich einfach mal davon ausgehe, daß notes alle fehlermeldung speichert, würde ich gerne wissen, in welcher datenbank die fehler gespeichert werden, und was genau für ein fehler aufgetreten ist.
mit einem "permanenten smtp fehler" kann ich nichts anfangen. das könnte ja alles bedeuten. wo finde ich genauere infos bzw. exakte infos, warum der fehler aufgetreten ist, und was da genau für ein fehler ist.

ehe ich gleich die nerven verliere, geh ich jetzt ins bett und schlaf mal ne nacht drüber.

da ich einfach mal davon ausgehe, daß notes alle fehlermeldung speichert, würde ich gerne wissen, in welcher datenbank die fehler gespeichert werden

log.nsf - die gibt's sowohl für Clients als auch für Server. DB-Titel "Notes Protokoll". Am Admin-Client kannst du dir diese Protokolle via Register Server/Analyse ansehen. Da gibt's auch eine Ansicht "Replizierereignisse" (aber auch eine Ansicht "Mail-Routing-Ereignisse").

Ich bezweifle aber, dass du da fündig werden wirst. Es zahlt sich vermutlich aus die notes-ini-Parameter zu verändern, um mehr Info ins Protokoll zu bekommen. Z. B. die Parameter "Log_Replication" & "Log_MailRouting".

Wenn die beiden Parameter nix helfen (weil sie z. B. schon aktiviert sind):

Hab das hier in der Knowledge Base gefunden

1.      Edit the SMTP Account document.  Add and remove a space and resave the document.

2.      Place the IP address for the SMTP server in the SMTP Account document's Basics tab - Account Server Name.  This is in the Personal Address Book under the settings icon at the bottom of the document.  If this does not work, delete the messages from the outgoing SMTP.BOX and try again.

Supporting Information:

When the above does not solve the problem, a reinstallation of Notes should fix the problem:

1.      Remove everything but the first three lines of the NOTES.INI file.

2.      Save a copy of DESKTOP5.DSK and NAMES.NSF and remove.

3.      Delete CACHE.DSK, MAIL.BOX and SMTP.BOX.

4.      Reinstall Notes.

Solution:

In a Notes 4.6x or 5.x client used as a POP3 client, you can enable a log file for POP3, SMTP, or both protocols.  The following steps enable client debugging for POP3 and SMTP.

1.      Exit Notes.
2.      At the operating system level, create a subdirectory called C:\NOTESLOG.
3.      Go into Edit mode in NOTES.INI, and add the following lines:

SmtpClientDebug=1
POP3ClientDebug=1
Debug_Outfile=C:\NOTESLOG\DEBUG.LOG

4.      Restart Notes.
