Problem:
When running Compact -B on a database on a Domino R5.0.4 server, compaction fails and returns the following errors:
"**** DBMarkCorrupt<PackBuckets: Buckets packing failure>, DB=c:\cmeier.nsf ID= [0074:0002:0097] ***
Error compacting database c:\meier.nsf: 03:F5
Database compact process shutdown"
Solution:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and no longer occurs in Domino 5.0.5.

A bucket is merely a place that stores data. It is typically broken down into summary and non-summary data. A bucket packing failure can occur for numerous reasons, typically if the bucket cannot be accessed. This error is only returned when doing in-place compaction.
