Weiterleiten hat das Maximum
« am: 09.09.02 - 12:26:29 »
Hello *,

habe folgendes Problem:

Marc

Schau mal, ob dir das weiterhilft:

"Maximum Forwarding Loop Count Exceeded..." Sending to Another Server

Problem:

All of the mail users on a single home Domino server receive Delivery Failure Reports when sending a message to anyone on another home server, though they can send mail to each other.  The reason reported for the failure is:

"Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded.  Message probably in a forwarding loop.  Examine Forwarding Address of intended recipient in Address Book."

The Name & Address Book (NAB) on the local server is synchronized with those on the other servers in the domain, and shows no reason that mail should be forwarded; Person documents and Domain documents, which are the most likely suspects when mail is forwarded unexpectedly, appear to be correctly configured.

Solution:

This condition occurs when the Notes mail domain name matches the fully qualified domain name of the host on which the Domino server is installed.  This condition is rare, because it requires the Domino server's common name to exactly match not only the hostname, but the fully qualified domain name of the local box.  For this to happen, the TCP/IP configuration on the local box must specify a hostname, but no domain.

The most direct way to determine whether the two names match is to load the router task on the Domino server.  If the local host has TCP/IP installed, even if Notes is not configured to use TCP/IP, the router obtains the TCP host name and domain name from the TCP stack, displaying this information on the console screen and in a Mail Routing Events document in the server log:

05/14/97 02:28:00 PM  Mail Router started for domain PENDRAGON
05/14/97 02:28:00 PM  Router: Internet SMTP host pendragon in domain

Workaround #1 for Domino R5

Rename the TCPIP hostname to be something other than the name of the conflicting Notes Domain Name.  Change the Server document Fully Qualified Domain Name to be the new TCPIP host name and restart the server.

Note:  Changes may need to be made in DNS to alias the new hostname to the Domino Server name.

Workaround #2 for Domino R5

This problem can also occur if the Notes domain that you are sending to is listed in the Global Domain document.  By having the Notes Domain Name listed in the Alternate Internet Domain Aliases field, the router believes the mail is for local delivery, and it attempts to deliver by doing a user lookup to the Domino Directory.  The router finds the user listed in a cascaded directory and attempts to forward the message to the correct domain.  Eventually, the message is delivered back to the user with the "Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded" error.  To resolve this problem, remove the Notes Domain Name from the Alternate Internet Domain Aliases field in the Global Domain document.

Supporting Information:

Below is a Notes log entry for the scenario described above:

05/14/97 02:28:00 PM  Mail Router started for domain PENDRAGON
05/14/97 02:28:00 PM  Router: Internet SMTP host pendragon in domain
05/14/97 02:30:59 PM  Router: Message 0065AFA7 forwarded to John Doe/NSS@Pendragon
05/14/97 02:31:00 PM  Router: Message 0065B702, 0065AFA7 forwarded to John Doe/NSS@Pendragon
05/14/97 02:31:00 PM  Router: Message 0065B731, 0065AFA7 forwarded to John Doe/NSS@Pendragon
05/14/97 02:31:00 PM  Router: Message 0065B74E, 0065AFA7 forwarded to John Doe/NSS@Pendragon
05/14/97 02:31:01 PM  Router: Message 0065B76A, 0065AFA7 forwarded to John Doe/NSS@Pendragon
05/14/97 02:31:01 PM  Router: Unable to deliver message 0065B788, 0065AFA7 to John Doe/NSS@Pendragon
05/14/97 02:31:01 PM  Maximum forwarding loop count exceeded.  Message probably in a forwarding loop. Examine Forwarding Address of intended recipient in Address Book.
05/14/97 02:31:02 PM  Router: Message 0065B7A4, 0065AFA7 delivered to Jim Smith/CAM/Lotus

Hallo Eknori

habe selbiges Problem.
