DELIVERY FAILURE
« am: 25.11.04 - 22:36:08 »
Wenn an unserem Notes Server ein Mail an eine nich existierende eMail Adresse gesendet wird, bekommt der Absender einen Hinweis, das diese Adresse nicht vorhanden ist. Allerdings wird als Absender dieses Hinweises eine merkwürdige Absenderadresse vermerkt („Postmaster%de@de“). Hat jemand eine Ahnung, wie ich die Absenderadresse für DELIVERY FAILURE Mails anpassen kann ???

Fehler:
Absender: Postmaster%de@de <Postmaster%de@de> Ins Adressbuch
Datum: 25.11.04 21:35
Empfänger: michael.luc@t-online.de <michael.luc@t-online.de>
Anlage(n): message-2.delive... (0,22 KB), test.eml (2 KB)
Betreff: DELIVERY FAILURE: Benutzer fdgfdgdfgdfg (fdgfdgdfgdfg@XXXXX.de) nicht im Domino Verzeichnis aufgeführt
Your message
  Subject: test
was not delivered to:
  fdgfdgdfgdfg@XXXXXX.de
because:
Benutzer fdgfdgdfgdfg (fdgfdgdfgdfg@XXXXXXX.de) nicht im Domino Verzeichnis aufgeführt

Gib uns bitte an, welche Lotus Domino Version Ihr einsetzt.

Ich habe hier was aus der KBASE dazu:
A Domino 5.x server is configured to receive messages addressed to recipients at a primary Internet domain (ACME.COM) or either of two alternate (or alias) Internet domains (ABC.COM and XYZ.COM).

If a message is sent to an invalid recipient at one of an Internet site's listed domains (such as to JSMITH@XYZ.COM), the Domino 5.x server generates a Non-Delivery Report (NDR) for this invalid recipient.  However, if the "from" address is addressed from the POSTMASTER with an Internet domain formed using the Domain Portion of the Fully Qualified Internet Domain (FQDN), the server's common name will always be removed.  For example, if the FQDN on the Server document is "NOTES01.ACME.COM", where the common name of the server is NOTES01, the "from" address in this case would be "postmaster@acme.com".  But if the FQDN were "NOTES01.DOMAIN.ACME.COM", the reply address would be "postmaster@DOMAIN.ACME.COM".

Is there a way to control what Internet Domain is used when forming the domain used in the postmaster's address?

This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in Domino 5.0.4.

Excerpt from the Fix List for Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.4 QMR:

SMTP

SPR# MZMD4FRT2S - Allowed postmaster domain to be that of the intended recipient, using the NOTES.INI setting UseMultiDomainPostmaster=1.  [5.0.4]

Supporting Information:

The configuration (without the above .INI parameter) of the Domino Directory (NAMES.NSF) for the above example is as follows:

The "Fully qualified Internet host name" field in the Server document is NOTES01.ACME.COM.
The "Local primary Internet domain" field in the Global Domain document is ACME.COM.
The "Alternate Internet domain aliases" field in the Global Domain document lists ABC.COM and XYZ.COM.

Postmaster's address when using this configuration would be "postmaster@acme.com"

Another example configuration (without the above .INI parameter) of the Domino Directory (NAMES.NSF) is as follows:

The "Fully qualified Internet host name" field in the Server document is NOTES01.DOMAIN.ACME.COM.
The "Local primary Internet domain" field in the Global Domain document is ACME.COM.
The "Alternate Internet domain aliases" field in the Global Domain document lists ABC.COM and XYZ.COM.

Postmaster's address when using this configuration would be "postmaster@domain.acme.com".

Problem
You have customized a delivery failure message in the Failure Messages section of the Configuration document's Router/SMTP, Advanced, and Controls tabs.  Instead of appending to the message body, the text appends to the subject field of the Delivery Failure Report (DFR) that Domino generates for senders when recipients are unlisted in the Domino Directory.

From: <Postmaster@acme.com>
To: <joeuser@anotherdomain.com>
Sent: <Date> <Time>
Subject: DELIVERY FAILURE: User js (js@acme.com) not listed in public Name & Address Book (DELIVERY FAILURE ================ This message has automatically been generated by <company> mail server. The name that you specified was not recognized as a <company> employee. <Company> e-mail addresses are in the general format <First Initial><Surname>@server.domainname.com e.g. AJones@server.domainname.com Please note that there is no punctuation between the first initial & surname. Please send your messa.....

This behavior was reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering; however, it has been determined that Notes/Domino is working as designed, and an enhancement request has been submitted.

Supporting Information:

To create the delivery-failure message, create a text file that contains the information you would like to see in the DFR, and save this file into Domino's Data directory (such as, c:\Lotus\Domino\Data).  Add the location of this file to the following fields in the Failure Message section

Delivery failure text file
Username failure text file
