Refresh / recalculate calculated field
« am: 22.09.04 - 13:01:15 »
Hello,

I am a student and doing internship. In Lotus, I am a newbie and have question:

I made a workflow using 3 Forms (Form A-Form B-Form C). All fields in Form A will be calculated in Form B. In form B there is some field with computed /calculated too (like actual date/time, username, etc). From form C, the user can go back to form B. The problem is: the computed field (date/time field, username and userrole field) wont automatically refreshed. I have tried to search in web and found something like "Call ui.refresh" method. But it doesnt work.

Do you guys have idea how can I do it properly.

Thanks for any help.

Sanjaya,

How do you change the form?

Please provide some more details (incl. an example).

Does the "F9"-key work to refresh the fields manually?

Maybe there is a misunderstanding in how the fields are calculated.

If you use the Form option for getting values from the marked document (i don't know how exactly the option is called in english), the values are only filled when you create a new document.

If you want to update the values in Form B, when a value changed in Form C, you have to do this when you save a document with Form C. In this case you need a link to the corresponding document B, maybe a unique value/key or the UNID.
