Hi,
Problem:
Although an Administrator configures a Domino 6 server to run the LDAP task, LDAP fails to load successfully on Port 389. Instead, the following error displays:
"LDAP server: listener failure, TCP/IP port number (389) is already in use on this system."
Solution:
In this particular case, Active Directory is using Port 389, the port LDAP uses by default. One resolution is to configure LDAP to use another port.
Supporting Information:
To change LDAP's port number, perform the following steps:
Open the Server document and go in Edit mode.
Click on the Ports, Internet Ports, and Directory tab.
Note that the default value for the "TCP/IP port number" field is "389."
Change the port value to another TCP/IP port that is unused.
Restart Domino.
