Using Lotus Domino Designer 8.5, we will create a Lotus Domino XPage web application that utilizes advanced Web 2.0 technology, and explain what we are doing it along the way. This step by step demonstration will highlight many of the application development improvements for Lotus Domino 8.5. See how you can develop with Domino Designer and XPages. We will explore AJAX, Script Libraries, DoJo and custom controls.

Learning XPages By Declan Lynch (http://www.qtzar.com/blogs/qtzar.nsf/htdocs/LearningXPages.htm)

This tutorial demonstrates the ease with which you can create a Web application in Domino Designer using XPage elements. You will create and preview three XPages. You will place controls on the XPages for accessing and viewing data, navigating to other pages, refreshing the same page, and performing other actions. You will even get into some JavaScript. A few design elements and graphics that are outside the scope of what you are learning are preloaded.
Time required
This tutorial should take approximately 90 minutes to finish.

These workshop exercises are designed as an introduction to Lotus Domino's xPages functionality. To give you a complete learning experience, you will build a demo application in the course of completing the exercises. The result of a previous exercise will be needed as input for following exercises. Intermediary versions of the sample application might be posted in the workshop Quickr place which is located at http://quickrdomino.tap.ibm.com/xpagesworkshop/
Some of the exercises do not directly contribute to the sample application, since they are designed to highlight and explore functionality and capabilities of xPages not needed in the sample application in all variations. These exercises are typically followed by an exercise that implements a subset of the function in the sample application.
Note: To be able to complete the exercises you will need to consult the documentation for Lotus Domino development since information given in the documentation is not duplicated in the exercises.
