Hallo Zusammen,
da man bei Google und SuFu nicht viel zu Companion findet
Folgende Frage:
Ein Nutzer möchte verschlüsselte Mails mithilfe des Companion öffnen.
Jedoch haben wir das Problem, dass wir nicht wissen wie wir die ID Exportieren können bzw. welcher Workaround am effektivsten ist.
Derzeit melden wir uns per Browser bei iNotes an > Vorgaben > Sicherheit > Notes ID importieren.
Dies ist jedoch nur eine Behelfskrücke, denn in gewissen Zyklen muss der Import wieder angeschoben werden und funktioniert nicht für alle unsere User. An welcher Stelle kann man das zentral durchführen?
Kann jemand Licht ins dunkel bringen?
Bin über jede Info dankbar.

ID Vault implementieren, dann passiert das alles automatisch.

Als erstes vielen Dank für die schnelle Reaktion :)
Es handelt sich "nur" um unsere 3 Vorstände, die das Companion nutzen. Deshalb würde ich in erster Näherung das "manuell" administrieren.
ID Vault habe ich auf dem Plan - allein schon um das Kennwort etwas einfacher zurücksetzen zu können - aber die Implementierung wäre wohl etwas zeitaufwändiger.
Wo kann man den Import für die drei User auf dem Server manuell anschieben?

Zeitaufwändig? Implementierung in ca. 10 minuten... Wenn mann sich alle Dialoge durchliest vielleicht 15....

Und gerade bei diesem Nutzerkreis würde ich als Admin versuchen, möglichst wenig mit deren Notes-ID in Berührung zu kommen... rein um mich selbst zu schützen.

You can configure IBM® Lotus® iNotes™ to take advantage of the ID management features that an ID vault provides. To enable the use of ID vault for Lotus iNotes users, check Yes for "Allow Notes-based programs to use the Notes ID vault" on the ID Vault tab of the Security policy setting document.
If the user has an ID file in the vault but not in their mail database and their policy is set to Yes for integration, then the ID file is pulled from the vault and put in the mail database. Likewise, if a user has an ID file in their mail database but not in the vault, then a copy will be uploaded to the vault. If a user has a copy both in the vault and in the database, the two IDs are kept in sync.
When this feature is enabled for Lotus iNotes users, the users can:
Decrypt incoming mail messages without manually importing Notes ID files into their mail file
Change passwords on their Notes ID files and use the new passwords automatically to perform secure mail operations
Get their passwords reset in the ID vault by someone with password reset authority and use the new passwords automatically to perform secure mail operations
Manually synchronize the two ID file copies at any time by opening Lotus iNotes Security Preferences and clicking "Sync ID with Vault."
Note The "Forgotten password help text" field, configured in the ID vault Security Settings policy and used to provide password reset instructions in the Lotus Notes logon window, does not apply to Lotus iNotes users.
