Hallo,

seit dem Update laufen 2 Services nicht mehr:
- Sametime Places Services (stplaces.exe)
- Community-Chat-Protokollierungsdienste (stchatlogging.exe)

So wie es aussieht, funktionieren aber sowohl die Chat-Protokollierung als auch die Tatsache, dass Sametime feststellt, an welchem Ort man sich anmeldet (oder hat der Service eine andere Funktion?)

Dass es Überreste der alten Version sind, glaube ich aber auch nicht, da diese ja in der "neuen" Administrations-Serverübersicht angezeigt werden.
Zudem erzeugen die beiden Services bei einem Server-Neustart auch 2 Windows-Fehlermeldungen auf der Oberfläche:
"Unable to locate component" ... because cmclient1.dll was not found....

In Sametime versions older than Sametime 8.5, when chat logging was enabled, Sametime was expecting to load StChatLog.dll as its chat logging black box library.

Starting from Sametime 8.5 the name of this black box is controlled by a sametime.ini setting called ST_CHAT_LOG that is located in [ST_BB_NAMES] section.
ST_CHAT_LOG describes the suffix to a StChatLog base name of the chat logging black box library.

By default, this flag is set to "N/A", meaning that there is no chat logging black box available. This will result a configuration problem where Sametime needs to load a black box, but does not have its name set by ST_CHAT_LOG.
StPlaces and StChatLogging will not start.

Examples of how to use ST_CHAT_LOG:
1. If you wish StChatLogFile.dll to be used by Sametime, you will have to set ST_CHAT_LOG=File
2. If you wish StChatLogMyCustom.dll to be used by Sametime, you will have to set ST_CHAT_LOG=MyCustom
3. If you wish StChatLog.dll to be used by Sametime, leave ST_CHAT_LOG empty.
   Note: Do not omit ST_CHAT_LOG from sametime.ini, it will default to "N/A"


Resolving the problem
The solution for this problem is leave ST_CHAT_LOG empty.

ST_CHAT_LOG=     

Sametime will now attempt to load StChatLog.dll

Ob es nun mit der Anpassung in der Sametime.ini aufgetreten ist oder nicht...
Bei einem Neustart erhalte ich jetzt die Fehlermeldung für die folgenden Module:

StLogger.exe
StResolve.exe
StDirectory.exe
StUser.exe
StPrivacy.exe
StUserStorage.exe

Dennoch sind unter Dienste alle Service gestartet und laufen.

Ich habe sicherheitshalber schon Sametime drüberinstalliert, aber die Fehler bleiben bestehen.
Immerhin scheinen sich keine Einschränkungen zu ergeben, zumindest das normale Chatten geht.
