Hi,
bin grad auf der suche aber vielleicht weiss jemand etwas, undzwar funtkioniert mit de aktuellen Blackberry Software und Lotus Notes 8 die Synchronisation nicht mehr. Habt ihr da mal einen Tipp?

Lotus Notes Traveler software will provide automatic, real-time replication of Lotus Domino e-mail (including attachments), calendar, address book, journal and to do lists. It will initially support access from Microsoft Windows Mobile devices and will work over all wired and wireless connections.

MaVo interessant, ist das die Kampfansage von IBM an RIM? :-D

Ich denke, daß das zumindest auch die Kampfansage an Nokias "Mail for Exchange" (http://www.nokia.de/de/business/mobile_anwendungen/mobile_email/mail_for_exchange/250932.html) ist.
Ich verfolge das momentan auch gespannt, zumal ich hoffe, daß es außer Windows Mobile noch weitere supportete Plattformen geben wird.

IBM hatte OS/2 -> siehe oben
Würde man den Drogenhandel legalisieren und IBM das Marketing übertragen, wäre DAS Problem auch erledigt >:D

Ich vermute nicht, dass es irgendeine Kampfansage ist, denn folgendes ist bei Ed Brill (http://www.edbrill.com/ebrill/edbrill.nsf/dx/news-and-announcements-from-the-lotus-collaboration-summit) zu lesen:
Announcement of Notes Traveler, a new feature of Domino 8.0.1 to support push mail to Windows Mobile devices at no additional cost. This announcement was in addition to the existing partnerships with RIM, Nokia, Motorola's Good Technology, CommonTime, iAnywhere, and Visto.

Kann man sehen, wie man will. Wenn die Ankündigung das hält, was sie verspricht, dann ist das auf jeden Fall ernstzunehmende Konkurrenz für die genannten Partner.
Wenn IBM noch ein OS unter den Notes-Client schrauben würde, bräuchte man in Zukunft nur noch Notes (OS, Mail/Groupware, Office, Sync mit mobilen Clients, etc.).

Vermutung liegt sehr nahe. Jeder möchte was von dem großen Kuchen "Markt" haben. Je mehr meine Produkte können, um so mehr kann ich die Kunden an mich binden.

Jepp. Das ist für mich auch der einzige Sinn von Lotus Symphony.
