hatte heute eine Fehlermeldung auf unserem Server...weiss dazu einer was? Hab schon im Forum gesucht und gegooglet aber noch nichts gefunden.

When you create or update a full text index for a database that contains a document with a PDF attachment, the following error occurs:

ASSERTION FAILED
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

EXPRESSION FALSE

Solution
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# KSAA6F6CXU (APAR# LO11143) and fixed in Notes/Domino 6.5.5.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.5 fix list (available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

Full-text indexing
SPR# KSAA6F6CXU - Error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" previously occurred when creating and updating the full text index. This regression was introduced in 6.5.4.

The error occurs when you check "Index attached files - Using conversion filters on supported files" for the full text options. To work around the problem, you can do one of the following:

    * Change the full text option to be "Index attached files - Without using conversion filters."
    * Add the following parameter to the NOTES.INI file on the client:
      FT_INDEX_IGNORE_ATTACHMENT_TYPES=*.pdf

Hallo,

habe den selben Fehler, aber der Eintrag in der .ini-Datei bringt nichts. Was könnte man nocht tun?

Mehr Informationen zur Umgebung (OS, Domino-Version ....) liefern ...

Server neugestartet? Betroffenen Volltextindex gelöscht und neu angelegt? Schon mitbekommen, dass 6.5 bereits seit Jahren aus der Wartung ist? (PMR wird also u.U. nicht viel bringen)

Dominoroot hat uns ja seine Dominoversion nicht verraten. Und als Root hat er sicher schon 8.5.3 CD5 laufen ;)

Hi,

also leider muss ich euch mitteilen, dass wir momentan noch 6.5.4 FP2 auf einem virtuellen Win2003 Enterprise am laufen haben.

Bin auch erst seit dieser Woche alleiniger Notes-Admin und grün hinter den Ohren. Hatte vorher nichts mit Notes am Hut. Somit hoffe ich, dass ihr mir meine Laien-Fragen versteht.

Und Du hast Dir Deine Frage mit dieser Info schon selber beantwortet.

Du hast 6.5.4 FP2 und IBM schreibt: "fixed in Notes/Domino 6.5.5."

So, und jetzt lehnen wir uns zurück und schauen mal, ob Du wo noch das Update für diese veraltete Version bekommst (End of Life (EOL) for 6.5.3 & 6.5.4: April 24, 2008 (https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21287154)). *Popcorn hol*
