Diesen Fehler erhalte ich, wenn ich über meine bestehende 6.5.3 (Designer+Admin-Client)-Installtion den neuen Client 6.5.4 (auch Designer+Admin) installieren möchte. Die Installation bricht danach ab...
Programm wird unter d:\programme\lotus installiert (lokale Festplatte), der Data-Pfad liegt auf h:\lotus\notes\data (Home-Freigabe auf Netzlaufwerk). Das hatte bisher (6/6.01 cfxxx/6.5.0/6.5.1/6.5.2 und 6.5.3) anstandslos geklappt - nur bei dieser 6.5.4 scheint es nicht mehr zu gehen - bin gerade dabei die 6.5.3 wieder "dorthin" zu installieren, damit ich nicht ganz "Notes-los" bin...
Wo könnte hier der Fehler liegen?

habe heute auch den 6.5.4 deutsch installiert und das Data-Verz. liegt auch auf H:\Notes\data. Hat alles wunderbar funktioniert.
Vorher hatte ich 6.5.3 deutsch. Installiert habe ich den Client ohne Admin und Designer. Anschließend habe ich die Designer.exe und die Admin.exe erstellt.
Welche Rechte hast Du auf H:\lotus\notes\data?

Habe und hatte immer Vollzugriff - bin inzwischen wieder zurück auf 6.5.3 - hat geklappt...
Warum sich allerdings 6.5.4 nicht installieren ließ????
Muß nachher mal auf meinen Testrechner...(war so mutig und habe es gleich auf meinem Produktiv-System getestet, nachdem 6.5.1/6.5.2/6.5.3 eigentlich immer vorher auf meinem Testrechner funktioniert hatte. Na ja - macht man einmal vorher keinen Test, geht's eben meist schief - wie auch immer...

Ich muß das Thema nochmal auftreifen - es geht einfach immer noch nicht. Wenn ich den Designer-Admin-Client 6.5.4 deutsch auf einem PC installieren und den Data-Pfad auch lokal belasse funktioniert alles ganz "normal". Sobald der Data-Pfad auf einem Netzlaufwerk liegt, bekomme ich ziemlich am Ende der Installation diese Fehlermeldung:
Fehler 1926.Dateisicherheit für Datei "H:\Lotus\notes\data\" konnte nicht eingestellt werden. Fehler: 3. Überprüfen Sie, ob Sie ausreichende Berechtigungen zum Ändern der Sicherheitsrechte für diese Datei besitzen.
Die Berechtigungen sind auf Vollzugriff - 6.5.3 läßt sich ja auf diese Weise installieren, nur 6.5.4 will einfach nicht - es ist zum wahnsinnig werden!
Gibt es inzwischen vielleicht mal wieder eine neuere undokumentierte 6.5.4'er-Version? Dann muß ich halt den Sch.... nochmal runterladen - sind ja nur schlappe 160 MB...

Problem
You are installing the Notes 6.5.4/6.0.5 client in UI mode (that is, not silently) and specify the data directory to a network drive. However, the installation fails with the error:
"1926 could not set file security for file..."
This issue can also occur when upgrading to Notes 6.5.4 using UI mode.
Solution
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering as SPR # RHAN6CAJY9 and is under investigation. You can work around this issue in three ways:
I. You can use a release of Notes prior to 6.5.4/6.0.5.
II. You can perform the installation of the client in Silent mode using the parameters:
e:\setup.exe -s-a /v"DATADIR=h:\lotus\notes\data /qb+"
or
msiexec /i "e:\lotus notes 6.5.4.msi" DATADIR=h:\lotus\notes\data /qb+
Where e:\ is the mapped drive to the install files and h:\ is the mapped drive to the user network folder.
III. A new Lotus Notes 6.5.4.MSI file has been created for the Client Only and All Client installation packages. You can replace the original Lotus Notes 6.5.4.MSI file with the one available in this Technote.
If you have downloaded the single executable for the Notes 6.5.4 Client Install, you can use the following procedure to extract the installation files and then replace the existing Lotus Notes 6.5.4.MSI file with the new one provided in this Technote:
1. Obtain the executable from the Lotus or Passport advantage web site. Full install executables are named "c******.exe," where the asterisks represent a combination of alphanumeric characters.
2. Run the executable, but stop when you get to the first installation screen.
3. Run a search on the operating system to locate the file Data1.cab or LotusNotes.itw file. These installation files will be extracted to a subdirectory of the Windows Temp folder named "pft***.tmp".
4. Copy all 8 of the installation files in the subdirectory to another folder on the OS. These 8 files will be used to run the Client Install.
5. Go back to the Notes setup and select Cancel.
6. In the folder that contains the installation files, delete the existing Lotus Notes 6.5.4.MSI file and replace it with the one from this Technote. Place the folder in a network location that is accessible to any users who will be installing or upgrading the Client.
7. This procedure will need to be done for the All Client and Client Only Install Packages.
8. The Client can then be installed by pointing to the Lotus Notes 6.5.4.MSI file or Setup.exe using SmartUpgrade, Silent Installs, or chosen installation Method.

Aaah - SCHLECHT!!!
Probiert habe ich es nun mal so: "Lotus Notes 6.5.4.msi" nach "Lotus Notes 6.5.4 de.msi" umbenannt - sonst findet er sie nicht - und Installation gestartet (Testrechner). Die Installation läuft bis ca. 90% durch und bricht dann mit "Error 1334. The file '_734731BA0B744D01AD.....' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'....
Aber das dachte ich mir schon fast - wäre ja zu schön gewesen. Muß wohl doch noch auf die nächste Version warten...

Hallo zusammen - wollte mal nachhaken, ob es vielleicht inzwischen eine 6.5.4 V2 gibt? Oder ein deutsches, neues "Lotus Notes 6.5.4 de.msi"?

Hi,
hat nun jemand ne Lösung für dieses Problem ?
Ich bin nämlich gerade dabei den 6.5.4 auszurollen und möchte das Data Verzeichnis gerne auf einem Home Netzlaufwerk betreiben. Allerdings kommen hier die besagten Fehlermeldungen.
Wie habt ihr das ganze gemacht? Der workaround funktioniert weder mit einem Transfrom file noch ohne eines.

wäre interessant zu wissen, auf welchem Server-Betriebssystem das jeweilige Netzlaufwerk fürs Datenverzeichnis beheimatet ist, scheint ja nicht generell Probleme damit zu geben...

Ist nen win2k3 System.
Das dumme an dem ganzen ist ja, dass der Workaround für den Englischen Client zu funktionieren scheint. Der deutsche scheint davon ausgenommen.

nachtrag: es gibt ein deutsches msi file vom juli, der den bug fixed.

Hallo zusammen!
Bei mir ist es auch ein Windows 2003-Server - und ich würde das MSI-File auch gerne haben - oder muß ich wieder den ganzen Admin-Designer-Client runterladen? Auf der Passport-Advantage scheint das Datum aber immer noch auf 27. April 2005 zu stehen...
Von einem MSI-File habe ich nichts gefunden...

hier das msi file das ich vom support zugeschickt bekommen habe.
Keine Ahnung wieso die Fische, das nicht auf den support seiten bzw. der knowledgebase mit anhängen.

Hallo,
nochmal zu dem Thema. Das MSI-File funktioniert zwar unter XP aber und NT 4.0 erhalte ich eine Fehlermeldung, dass nicht genügend Speicherplatz vorhanden wäre, was aber nicht stimmt (auf dem Netzlaufwerk sind noch 400 GB frei), außerdem erscheinen die Angaben des freien Speicherplatzes mit einem Minuszeichen im Setupdialog.

Welchen SP hast Du für NT installiert? Es muss SP 6 sein.
Hier die Info von IBM:
Specifically, IBM Software currently supports Service Packs 4 , 5 , and 6a, and any future releases of Service Packs. This includes Windows 2000 Pro, Server, Advanced Server and Data Center Service Packs 1, 2, and 3. We support Service Pack 4 and any future release that will be made public by Microsoft for Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, and .Net servers, when they are available.
NOTE: Service Packs and platforms are not "certified". Lotus, in years past, used the terms "supported" and "certified" for platforms. Lotus stopped differentiating supported vs. certified in 2001. Consistent with the other IBM software brands, a platform is either supported or unsupported, and no platform certification exists.
Information for Service Packs can be found in the readme files that accompany your software.
Note:
Notes Domino 6.x.x cannot be installed on the Windows NT platform if the operating system is not running at least SP6. SP6a is recommended. Please see the information below regarding SP6. When attemtping to install Notes 6.x.x running a Service Pack lower the SP6, the following error will be received :
150: Setup has detected an incompatible version of Windows. Please click OK and verify that the target system is running either Windows 95 (or later version), or Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 (or later version), before relaunching the installation
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering via SPR# GPFM587LQM and has been closed. The Notes 6 MSI was based on version 2.0 of the Microsoft installer, Windows NT 4.0 cannot run version 2.0 of the MSI installer without having SP6 installed.
