'n Tach zusammen,

wir haben hier ein paar PCs, die nach dem Starten eine Fehlermeldung "nsl.exe - Fehler in Anwendung" anzeigen. Anschließend der übliche Spruch eines Programmabbruchs: "Die Anweisung in blablabla verweist auf Speicher in wrzlgrmpft. Der Vorgang written konnte nicht auf dem Speicher durchgeführt werden."

Die nsl.exe hat wohl irgendwas mit dem Single SignOn zu tun. Das Update auf 6.5.1 ist schon länger her, aber der Fehler tritt erst seit kurzem auf. Weiß jemand die Ursache für Probleme mit nsl.exe oder eine Lösung?

This issue has been reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering. The issue does not occur in Notes 6.x Client because the install program has been redesigned. After you install the shared piece to the network drive, create a transform file and select "The feature is installed on the local drive" for the 'Client Single Logon Feature'.

Workaround:

1. Copy the following files to the local Windows NT System32 directory (for example, C:\Winnt\System32\ ) :

NSL.EXE
NSLSVICE.EXE
NGINA.DLL
NSLINST.EXE
NNOTES.DLL
NLSCCSTR.DLL
NGINA.DLL
JS32.DLL

2. To install the Single Logon, run NSLINST -C C:\Winnt\System32.

3. Open the Windows NT Control Panel, locate Services, open Service, and you will see Lotus Notes Single Logon. Highlight it and select Start to make sure it loads correctly. If so, then restart the machine. The Lotus Notes Single Logon will load automatically.

... es sind jedoch Notes6-Clients und Single SignOn ist ja auch bereits installiert. Der Dienst startet ja auch und funktionierte bereits einige Zeit.
Ich fürchte, der Auszug aus der KnowledgeBase paßt hier nicht ...

tritt das Problem nur unter XP auf oder auch bei W2K?

Ich habe einige Rechner mit XP und 6.5.2 im Einsatz... bei den Thinkpads unter XP tritt der Fehler auf, andere XP-Rechner sind bisher davon verschont worden.

Bisher hab ich auch noch keine Fehlerbehebung finden können...

bei mit tritt der Fehler bereits vor SP2 auf... ich habe SP2 noch nicht im Einsatz.

Gerade Thinpads haben dieses Problem (scheint mir)... wie sieht es bei Wolfgang aus? Welche Eingrenzungen kannst Du treffen?

gibt es mittlerweile neue Lösungsansätze? Wurde das Problem gefixt?

Bei uns haben noch immer einige User das Problem...
