guten morgen,

ich würde gerne auf einem laufenden dominoserver die decs geschichte nachträglich installieren.

ich hab das anhand der folgenden anleitung gemacht:

1.      Add the following line to the NOTES.INI file:

extmgr_addins=ndecsext.dll  (for a WinNT server)

OR

extmgr_addins=decsext  (for an AS/400 server)


2.      At the command line for the server, type

load decs

3.      In your Notes desktop, add the following databases:

DECS Administration  (DECSADM.NSF)
DECS Documentation (DECSDOC.NSF)
Lotus Connectors Connectivity (LCCON.NSF)
LSX for Lotus Connectors (LSXLC.NSF)


der server ist ein domino 5.07a

aber wenn ich LOAD DECS aufrufe, meckert er an, dass der den eintrag extmgr_addins=ndecsext.dll in der notes.ini nicht findet.

ich hab den aber da rein geschrieben (!!!) und auch den server mal neu gestartet, aber trotzdem kommt diese meldung.
ist es irgendwie wichtig, an welche stelle in der .ini der eintrag steht? ich hab den einfach unten, hinter die letzte zeile gesetzt.

Dann gab es wahrscheinlich in der NOTES.INI den Eintrag extmgr_addins schon. Such doch mal in der INI danach.

hi,

jetzt wo dus sagst:

es gibts bereits diesen eintrag:

EXTMGR_ADDINS=DBAPHook.dll
das müsste der backup agent von arc-serve sein.

kann ich denn den anderen eintrag hinzufügen?
vielleicht mit nem "," hinter DBAPHook.dll?

(ich will das jetzt nicht auf gut glück ausprobieren, nicht das da was schief geht)

Ja, Du musst die Einträge mit einem Komma trennen:

Error: "Library Has Not Been Initialized..." Attempting to Load DECS Server Task

Problem:

You attempt to load the Domino Enterprise Connection Services (DECS) server task by typing "LOAD DECS" at the server console; however, the following error message displays:

"Error: Library has not been initialized, decs server extension manager is not being initialized."

Solution:

To resolve the error, follow these steps:

1.   Check that Notes is in the path (for Windows NT, you may need to set this from the Control Panel as well).

2.   Check that the parameter

extmgr_addins = ndecsext.dll

has been added to the NOTES.INI.

3.   If more that one extmgr_addins line is needed in the NOTES.INI, put them all on one line separated by commas, as in the following example:

extmgr_addins = ndecsext.dll, whatever.dll.

The task should now load successfully, creating the Admin database, and once the database is configured, you can create your Activities.

danke, jetzt klappts. ich mach jetzt mal nen neuen thread auf. da kommen nämlich noch andere fragen... ;-)
