2 Wochen keine Antwort.

I am planing to take 486 at start of january. 484 at midth of february and 287 at end of march. Have passed 158 18 month ago. My work is more focussed on tomcat/open source stuff and this month kind of trouble shooter for a very problematic lotus domino project. [...]. Becoming fat from all that crackers I eat in endless meetings with administration and management guys.
Good luck for anybody and lets have some good discussions. Nice to see some old fads from IBM certification movement like Theodore and Vijay :beerchug:
Howard, please don't go away. I am going boost your book sales on german market by posting a very positive amazon review when finished with it. I really like it. ;)

[QB]Hi,
with some quite serious preparation, I have not found it too dificult.
Result is 88%.
Like others allready have said, Larman is the most important book for the test.
While first reading his book 2 years or so ago I have found it a little bit annoying to read. Now the second time it was much more pleasant experience. A lot of ground about oo, rup and uml is covered.
The whole preparation has given me some ideas where to better our own oo/rup based practise, I think.
Lots of big diagrams and text.
For the uml stuff you need to know the basics, but those really quite well. No questions about nasty details.
There were very few (and quite basic) questions about GoF-Design patterns. Its good idea to really understand the stuff, which Larman calls GRASP design patterns. Those are general principles about OO-design.
And you need to have some idea about RUP.
I've used whizlab test simulator and for sure it has helped to get a good score. I consider their last hours preparation summary as the best text about the stuff covered in the exam. Don't be fooled by the whizlabs. Their tests are much tougher than the real one. It was hard fight for me to boost my performance from 62% in first exam to 75% in last one. Some questions there are quite exotic. Anyway its good questions and very usefull explanation.
good luck to everyone :)
Axel

Schlechteste Section ware requirement analysis (70%). Potsmoker mag es schon geahnt haben. ;D
Hyped ihr das Buch "UML 2.0 glasklar" auf der Webseite? Oder ist das echt empfehlenswert?
