Notes 9.0.1 Deutsch und Symantec Endpoint Protection 12

Hallo,

N9.0.1 DE in Verbindung mit SEP 12 läuft bei uns nicht.

Kennt jemand das Problem?

Bereits während der Installation von SEP und ausgeschaltetem Notes stürzt Notes ab.

Hat jemand eine Idee, was das sein könnte?

Ist das eine Einstellung vom Virenscanner oder bei Notes?

Wie kann Notes abstürzen wenn es nicht läuft??? Im Notes kannst Du bezüglich anderer Anwendungen nichts einstellen, für mich ist es ein Problem des Virenscanners. Man kann die Notes Verzeichnisse vom Scan ausschließen und den Virenscanner aus der Notes.ini entfernen - mehr meines Wissens nach nicht.

ich kann das nicht genau erklären. Aber offensichtlich lädt Notes etwas im Voraus. Es gibt drei IBM Dienste, die ich aber alle deaktiviert habe. Trotzdem tritt das Problem auf.

Ich kenne das Problem nicht mit SEP12 aber ich hatte schon bei verschiedenen Kunden Probleme mit SEP in älteren Versionen.

Wie wird SEP installiert (Software Deployment, manuell über Deinen Nutzer-Account, ...)?
Installiert ihr die Integration von SEP in Notes?
Wie ist Notes installiert (Single-User, Multi-User)?
Habt ihr die Option in Notes aktiv, dass Teile des Programmcodes schon beim Start von Windows mitgestartet werden?
Was sagt Symantec dazu?

Letztendlich ist es eine gute Idee, verschiedene Dateien (alle .nsf / .ntf / notes.ini / *.id / *.ndk / Workspace-Verzeichnis) aus dem Echtzeitscan zu exkludieren.

Hallo Thorsten,

über die Installation von SEP weiß ich leider nicht sehr viel. Es wird von unserem Mutterkonzern aus konfiguriert und automatisch verteilt.

Notes ist als Multi-User installiert und es werden auch Programmteile vorab gestartet.

Ich werde die Kollegen im Mutterkonzern bitten, den Notes-Ordner aus dem Scan zu nehmen und prüfen, ob es dann funktioniert.

Wir lassen SEP keine Mails scannen. (SEP Notesmodul nicht installieren und aktivieren.)

Notes hat ja schon einen Virenscanner auf dem Dominoserver.
Ausserdem greift SEP ja beim Handling (z.B. Öffnen von Anhängen) sowieso ein.

Desweiteren schreibt SEP machmal in die Notes.ini
Den Eintrag muß man dann löschen da sonst beim löschen von Mails / Terminen
Probleme auftreten.

 
Im Anhang, Notes.ini vom betreffenden Client:
- 2 Fehlerursachen:

1. Adobe Toolbar inkompatibel mit Notes 9.0.1:
alle Einträge von Adobe aus der notes.ini löschen.

2. SEP Virenscanner
Beschreibung Problem 2:

The notes2.exe process may crash causing the Notes client to appear to hang or crash.
Cause
Symantec plugin for the Notes client.

Vorsicht... jeder Virenscanner bei dem ein Notes-PlugIn installiert wird, schreibt sich als Extension Manager (EXTMGR_ADDINS=... oder NSF_HOOKS=...) in die notes.ini des Notes Clients. Diesen Eintrag dürft ihr dann natürlich nicht entfernen. Daran könnt ihr aber auch prüfen, ob vom Virenscanner ein PlugIn für Notes installiert ist oder nicht (sprich ob der Scanner bei jedem Öffnen eines Dokuments, Attachments, etc. anspringt).
Wie gesagt würde ich mindestens die von mir genannten Dateien vom Echtzeit-Scan ausnehmen. Da ihr eine Multi-user-Installation habt liegt das Datenverzeichnis ja im Benutzerpfad.

Ob man die Installation eines lokalen PlugIns benötigt, wenn auf den Domino Servern auch ein Virenscanner installiert ist und wenn dieser Mails in Echtzeit überprüft, ist natürlich auch eine Frage der Risikobewertung. Der Server kann zwar verschlüsselte Nachrichten nicht überprüfen (das könnte wiederum der lokale Scanner) aber ein Attachment wird spätestens beim temporären Ablegen im Dateisystem des Clients überprüft... muss man also abwägen.

Und wenn Teile von Notes beim Start von Windows schon gestartet werden, dann ist Notes nicht "ausgeschaltet". Wenn dann die Installationsroutine des Virenscanners losläuft, kann es natürlich zu Problemen kommen wenn zwei Prozesse gleichzeitig auf dieselbe Datei (notes.ini z.Bsp.) zugreifen.
