tried to do a "updall -R" on names.nsf? ... thats the last idea i have perhaps it helps...sounds a little bit strange...

I changed also the SHORTNAME ! and I tried the updall ....

I am sorry but I don't remember exactly the message error  ??? so if I can find somewhere the Domino Admin error messages I will remember ...
