Hallo,

mein Notes SMTP macht Probleme. Wir versenden per SMTP an ein Unix SMTP eine Email mit Anhang. Der Unix SMTP verteilt die Email mit Anhang an die Empfänger weiter.

Leider kommt bei manchen Empfängern die gesamte Email, d.h. Subject, Body und Anhänge in einer unleserlichen Anhangsdatei an. Und diese heißt encap2.ond.

Hat jemand eine Idee woran das liegt.

Problem  
Since upgrading to Domino R5 on the SMTP server, messages are being received with ENCAP2.OND attachments by non-Notes Internet recipients. This problem did not occur when using the SMTP MTA product with Domino 4.6x. Why is this occurring?
 
 
 
Solution
This problem is occurring due to the configuration setting in the Server Configuration document for the SMTP server. Specifically, the Message Content field (located in the Configuration document, on the MIME tab, Conversion Options sub-tab, and Outbound sub-tab) is set to "Create mulit-part alternative including conversion and encapsulation". Changing this field value to "Convert from Notes to Internet message format " will eliminate the ENCAP2.OND attachments.
