Fehler falls Domino-Server zulange läuft

Nach wie vor sollte man den Server regelmäßig neu starten. Meiner lief schon eine Weile und so passierte es, dass mir nichts dir nichts der Eintrag
MailServer=....
aus der NOTES.INI verschwand. Daher liefen nun keine periodischen Agenten mehr, die Mails versenden.

Die KBASE sagt dazu:

Problem

The MailServer parameter in the Notes.ini seems to disappear without human intervention.  For example, the Lotus Domino server has been up for a period time when suddenly mail stops routing.  When you review the Notes.ini file, you find that the MailServer parameter is missing.



Solution
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# BTLW69P4RG and has been fixed in Domino 6.5.5 and Domino 7.0.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.5 MR fix list (available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):
Server
SPR# BTLW69P4RG - This fix prevents the MailServer Notes.ini parameter from being set to NULL after the server has been up for a period of time.

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

To work around the issue down the Domino server, add the canonical version of the server name to the MailServer parameter in the Notes.ini (for example:  "MailServer= CN=ServerName/O=OrgName") and restart the server.  After that restart the Domino server once a month. If the issue reoccurs then restart it more frequently until you can upgrade.

Supporting Information
When this issue occurs it can result in scheduled and other background agents which send mail to fail with the following error message:

"Notes error: You do not have a mail file/server specified.  Use File Mobile Edit Current Location... to set them."

If the issue is not resolved by upgrading or resetting the MailServer field (and restarting the Domino server) then refer to the following document for additional troubleshooting steps:  "Notes/Domino background agent fails to send mail; Errors may occur in logs" (#1099632)

LOL, kein Schxxx oder? Seh ich das richtig, nur weil du den Server eine Zeit lang laufen ließt, ist der notes.ini Para verschwunden? Wenns so ist, Hammer!!!  ???

Aber eigentlich altbekannt - und ich dachte, das wäre bereits in früheren Versionen beseitigt worden. Und: Es passiert nicht immer und prinzipiell.
Hier im Forum wurde das auch schon mehrfach erwähnt.

Da scheint irgendwo was im Argen zu liegen.
Der Wert wird nun ständig gelöscht. Gestern eingetragen und Server neu gestartet. Heute war der Wert für MailServer wieder weg.  :(
Im Serverdokument stehts aber richtig unter Server-Arbeitsumgebung.
Ich habe nun zusätzlich per Serverkonfiguration den Wert gesetzt. Mal sehen...

Vielleicht ist das Serverdokument korrupt (wer und womit kann man das nur bestechen)?

Hmmm... siehst du dann ein Änderungsdatum und Uhrzeit an der notes.ini? Ein Limit wirds ja wohl nicht geben, oder? Sonst stell den Parameter mal in die Mitte rein, aber das glaub ich jetzt grad selber nicht.
