habe gerade die qmr 5.0.10 German downgeloadet und wollte
mein Notes Client updaten da bekomme ich diese Fehlermeldung in der upgrade.log:

File nstrings.dll failed checksum. (Found 0xda5681b1, Expected 0x9ad98284)
Unable to identify release.

Weiss jemand weiter ??? ???  8)

ich hatte mit der Datei (und ein paar weiteren DDL's)beim Server-Update von 5.04 auf 5.08 ein ähnliches Problem.
Ich musste die Dateien aus dem Notesverzeichnis rausnehmen um das Update einzuspielen, sonst brach die Insatllation immer mit einer Fehlermeldung ab.

Habe hier das gleiche Problem. nstrings.dll umbenannt -> IncInstaller wirft nur noch leere Messagebox mit Ok-Button...

Hat schon jemand eine Lösung?

Hier das Problem aus der Knowledge Base

Domino 5.0.5 Upgrade Error: "File XXXX....Failed Checksum...Unable to Verify Release"

Problem:

A customer attempts to upgrade the Domino 5.0.5 server to version 5.0.6 (or 5.0.6a to 5.0.7), via the incremental installer; however, the following error displays:

"file XXXX failed checksum . . . Unable to verify release"

where XXXX is a file in the Domino directory.  The error is occurring with language files as well as the following .dll files:

uninst.dll
nstrings.dll
nlcapi.dll
nlchtapi.dll
ndecsext.dll

in addition to ndesc.exe.  The upgrade from 5.0.6a to 5.0.7 involved the following two additional files:  nlctest.exe and
nsybest.

Solution:

In each case, moving those files to another directory (not in the Notes directory), then performing the incremental install, and then moving the files back to their original location resolved the issue.
