DECS findet keine DB auf Server

Derzeit teste ich ein wenig mit DECS (Notes - Access) und komme bei einem Problem nicht weiter.

Der Task wurde gestartet und hat automatisch die 4 Datenbänke anlegt.

Über den DECS-Administrator versuche ich jetzt eine Aktivität zu erstellen. Jedoch erhalte ich immer die folgende Fehlermeldung:

"No databases were found on the Notes server ......".

Dieses Meldung ist unabhängig davon, ob ich versuche die Aktivität mit den Wizard oder manuell zu erstellen. Auf dem Server sind natürlich div. Datenbänke vorhanden.

Wo liegt das Problem bzw. welche Einstellungen muß ich vornehmen?

Problem
You are running Domino R5 on AS/400, using the Notes R5 client on Win98, and a DB2 file.  You successfully create an Activity in Domino Enterprise Connection Services (DECS), and are able to see the DB2 tables and column names.  Then, with a Notes Admin ID, you select the Connection that was created and click Notes Application.  You should see a list of Notes databases on that server.  However, you instead see the following error message:

"No databases were found on the notes server <server name>".

Attempts to use the Wizard to create the Activity yielded the same result.  You also find that you cannot ping the Domino server on AS/400.



Solution
In this case, the issue was resolved by the AS/400 Admin adding the Domino server to the AS/400 Hosts Table.

It has also been reported that the same error occurs on Windows NT 4.  You can ping by server name and IP address; however, when trying to create a DECS Activity, you will receive the above error.

The most likely cause of this issue is that Domino server security settings do not allow the Domino server to connect to itself.  You can verify this by checking the Domino server console for the following message:

"Attempt to access server by server/domain denied".

This error will also be logged in the Server's LOG.NSF.

To address the issue, the Domino server security settings need to be modified to allow the Domino server to connect to itself.  To do this, explicitly list the server's name in the Access Server field in the Restrictions sub-section of the Security section in the current Server document.

Danke für die schnelle Antwort.

Grund für den Fehler waren fehlende Einträge im Register "Sicherheit" im Serverdokument. Obwohl der Server bereits über eine Gruppe berechtigt ist, ist ein zusätzlich einzelner Eintrag erforderlich.

Dies scheint jedoch ein Problem des Testservers zu sein, da auf dem "Betriebsserver" alles ohne zusätzliche Einträge funktioniert. Da der Testserver seine names.nsf von dort bezieht, hätte die Probleme eigentlich auf beiden auftreten müssen.

Keine Ahnung warum dies nicht der Fall ist.

Ein guter Tipp ist auch auf dem Integration Forum auf www.notes.net nachzuschauen (heisst heute anders, URL funktioniert aber wieder).
Ich hatte mal ein übles Problem mit LEI , dass mit einem upgrade des Servers von 5.010 auf 5.011 (oder andere Punktreleases) zu tun hatte.

Leider konnte er mir bei dem jetzt auftauchenden Problem nur bedingt helfen.

Die Datenbank kann jetzt war ausgewählt werden, jedoch erscheint danach beim Feld "Form" immer die nachfolgende Fehlermeldung:

This operation is not permitted when executing restricted agents

Gemäß diesem Forum und der von Dir genannten Seite, muß der eigene bzw. DECS-Server im Serverdokument unter "Sicherheit - Beschränkte LotusScript/Java-Agenten ausführen" eingetragen werden. Jedoch erscheint die Meldung immer noch, auch ein Eintrag unter "Sicherheit - unbeschränkte LotusScript/Java-Agenten ausführen" brachte kein positives Ergebnis.

Jemand eine Idee, wie dieses Problem zu lösen ist?

Problem hat sich erledigt. 

Hatte vergessen die DECSAdmin mit der entsprechenden ID zu signieren.
