the Lotus client loses the server settings
(1/1)
Toma Bogdan:
I have created 3 locations on my client for changing the user/id. the IP of the Domino server (6.3) is 10.10.1.196.
sometimes when I try to open a database the client tries to open the DB from 10.50.1.196 and couldn't open the DB - it is normally because this isn't the IP of the Domino server !
After I open the 10.10.1.192 (the real IP of the Domino server) from Open database section (CTRL+O), the client works fine.
Why the Lotus client loses the server settings ?
Glombi:
Every location document contains field called "$SavedAddresses". Notes adds the current IP address for a server to this field.
If an IP address has changed then you have to put the IP address manually in the File - Database - Open dialog.

Can I find this field into location document ?
How/when was changed this field ? The IP with 10.50.1.196 doesn't exists in the LAN....
Glombi:
It's a hidden field with multi values.
You can add this field (set multi values) to the form "Location".

I thought that I can add/modify this value directly from the Location doc and not using a LS agent/formula...
