nach einem rename des benutzernamens ist der alte noch 21 tage gültig..
dieser steht ja auch noch im personen dokument..
Wodurch wird das löschen der alten daten angestoßen? einen administration request  kann ich dafür nicht finden...

Meines Wissens bleibt der alte Name im Personendokument drin. Es macht ja auch Sinn, damit Mails an die alte Adresse weiterhin zugestellt werden (wenn diese bspw. als Reply erstellt werden).

Das meine ich auch. Die 21 Tage gelten für den Zugriff auf den Server und allfällige Leser- und Autorenfelder

OK, (betrifft meine Anfrage zum Teil ja auch) wenn es so ist, dann ist es logisch. Geht aus der Admin-Hilfe halt überhaupt nicht so hervor, überzeugt mich aber.

How Long Does the Old Name Stay in the User Name Field When Renaming or Moving a Person with AdminP?

Problem:

When renaming a person or moving them to another Organizational Unit (OU) using the Administration Process (AdminP), their new fully defined name and common name are placed in the User Name field in their Person document in the Public Name & Address Book (NAB),  However, their old name is not removed.

Does the old name get removed after a certain time period (for example, after 21 days)?

Solution:

The old name never gets removed automatically from the User Name field.  If Administrators want it removed, edit the Person document and remove it manually or write an agent to do so.

Supporting Information:

The main reason for this is so that mail can be delivered to the person whose name has changed when sent by people who infrequently send this person mail and only have access to the old mail name.

The confusion over the 21 days value is because that is the default number of days a user has to connect to the server and accept his name change before AdminP stops the whole rename process.
