Problem
When you install the Domino R5 server, you notice there are additional NOTES.INI settings, compared with R4.  What are these settings, and what is their function?




The following are the new R5 NOTES.INI install settings and their function:

InstallType=...

     0=Designer Client
     1=Administration Client
     2=All Clients
     3=Domino Mail Server
     4=Domino Enterprise Server
     5=Domino Application Server
     6=Notes Client
     7=Notes lite
     9=Unknown, set by default at start of installation process, set for shared install


CleanSetup=1
Once the server has been setup, this parameter is set to flag that the setup databases have been deleted.

MTEnabled=0
Enables message tracking for the router.  This is a Boolean value that is disabled by default.

SCHEDULE_VERSION=3
This is used for the schedule manager for Busytime settings.  In R5, it defaults to 3.

You should retain these INI settings for future upgrades.

The comments for the SCHEDULE_VERSION parameter are as follows:

0 = Original 4.5 format; Uppercase names
1 = New 4.5x/4.6x format; Lowercase names
2 = New 5.x format; New repeating meeting format
3 = New 5.x format II; New repeating meeting format + Mail database Rep ID

tja, danke für den Tipp
Habe die notes.ini gelöscht, aber keine Veränderung.
Excel oder Word Dateien werden weiterhin in Notes ohne zugehörigem Symbol dargestellt und
können auch weiterhin nicht mit dem zugehörigen Programm geöffnet werden.
Erst wie gehabt nach dem Abspeichern auf der HD kann ich sie über den Explorer öffnen.

Der Nerv ist das es die Geschäftsleitung ist und die sich doch jetzt tatsächlich über mich beschwert hat, kaum zu glauben...

Noch einer ne Idee !?

ich vergaß die Fehlermeldung anzuführen:

"Eine Anwendung, mit der dieses Dokument geöffnet werden kann, wurde nicht gefunden."
